Aligned Practice Accelerator
What if it were possible to align your practice and your business?
Instead of feeling like your business keeps you from practicing your passion and sharing your gifts with the world, your business could actually support your holistic wellness practice… if you aligned your practice and your business.
Introducing
the Aligned Practice Accelerator
a 14-module course designed specifically for holistic wellness practitioners.
Chances are, you didn’t pursue acupuncture, massage therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, or any other holistic modality because you wanted to run a business. You probably followed your passion for healing and for sharing those healing gifts with the world.
And the result??
You haphazardly fell into owning a business, and now that business is draining your energy.
Maybe it’s because your business feels soul-sucking or like a slog.
Maybe it’s because the clients you’re treating don’t always feel like the right fit, and if you could just find the perfect clients, everything would be great.
Maybe it’s because the “business” class your training offered only covered licensing and insurance needs—not the nuts and bolts of how to run a wellness business.
Or maybe you’re just not sure where to start or what will make the biggest difference, now that you’re finished with your training and have or are ready to open a practice.
Whatever the source, it feels like your practice suffers because of having to run a business. And it keeps you from doing what you love—changing people’s lives and helping with their healing.
The Aligned Practice Accelerator can help you get back to the core of why you studied holistic wellness.
By aligning—and integrating—your business and your practice, the two can feed and support each other. The truth is that an aligned business offers a foundation for you to share your gifts with your community. The strength of that foundation is what enables you to practice and pursue your passion for healing.

Running your practice can feel empowering, fulfilling, and aligned. You can build a thriving practice that supports you, your living, and your own wellbeing. Your business can become a platform and support network that bolsters your passion for wellness.

The bottom line? It is possible to run an aligned holistic wellness business. And, marketing (and sales) doesn’t have to feel gross or unaligned.

The first step is to understand the anatomy of a business. What is the equivalent of the circulatory system or respiratory system? What are the bones of your business? Just as you come to understanding, diagnosing and treating your clients, if you understand the parts and systems that make up a business and how they fit together and feed off one another, you can better understand where things aren’t working as they should, and how to align your business so you have a healthier practice that supports your wellbeing.

The Aligned Practice Accelerator will illuminate all of these and more.
It’s possible to have alignment between your goals, objectives, and passion, and what it takes to actually do these things in the world. And all of that starts with your story and your passion.
What you’ll get as part of the Aligned Practice Accelerator
First and foremost, you will get 6 months unrestricted access to the online course specifically designed to teach aligned business practices to holistic wellness practitioners such as yourself.

The course contains 14 modules.  Each module contains a teaching video recorded expressly for this course that explains the critical concepts of business and how they apply to a wellness practice, worksheets and tools that then help you incorporate those concepts into your own personal practice, and a journaling sequence that reinforces the learning and how you can apply the course to align your specific practice.

The course begins with the anatomy of a business using a tool that the creator of WellB-ing  developed specifically for the purpose of helping acupuncturists, massage therapists, yoga teachers and other holistic wellness practitioners understand the parts and systems that make up the business end of their practices so they can identify where work needs to be done to create a vibrant healthy practice.

From there, the course takes a methodical deep dive into each of these parts and systems, what they are, how they work, and how you can align them in your own practice.   Each module builds on the previous ones in the following sequence:

  • Understanding the animating idea behind your practice – your passion, the root of the value you create for your clients;
  • Identifying who your ideal clients are – not just anyone seeking generic treatment, but the people who will be wowed by what you do;
  • Understanding where the real value lay that clients gladly pay for – not your generic product or service, but your personal, authentic story that connects your practice to your ideal clients and makes marketing so much easier and liberating;
  • How to then carry that story through your practice, so your clients experience a consistent telling of your story in a way that resonates and creates client loyalty;
  • How you actually deliver on the value promise to your clients through your space and how you spend your time, and how you use resources to make sure you’re spending your time doing the right things;
  • A clear simple way to set the financial goals for your practice so you have a firm idea what it will take to support your own wellbeing and how to know you’re on the right path to get there;
  • And a powerful tool that takes this understanding of how you create and deliver value and empowers you to create straightforward and actionable strategies to create an aligned, healthy  and successful practice where you’re focusing your energy on the things that matter.
Just as a holistic approach to wellness seeks to create health and wellness in your clients by getting at root causes instead of just masking symptoms with a scattershot approach of painkillers and prescriptions, WellB-ing provides a holistic approach to business that teaches you how to create a healthy and successful practice by creating a solid core and aligned systems rather than pursuing every hit and miss idea you come across trying to fix symptoms of a struggling practice instead of getting to the root cause.

But access to the full online course is not all you get. You also get regular live learning sessions at least twice a month with Craig in which you can get your individual questions answered and gain more insight into how to incorporate the course learning into your own practice.

Meet Your Guide:
Craig has a deep belief in the power of alternative methods of healing and for the past 11 years has practiced yoga daily. He developed the Aligned Practice Accelerator because he wanted to meld his passion for and belief in the power of holistic wellness with his expertise in running businesses. You can read a more extensive bio here.

Craig has been teaching business to non-business people most of his career. He started and ran businesses all over the world for a large global company. In addition to starting several small businesses of his own, he has helped many others start small businesses, including alternative wellness practices. Craig has taught business at several universities, as well as designing courses expressly for people without a formal business background specifically aimed at creating economic opportunity for underserved communities. Craig has also been a consumer of holistic wellness services for many years, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, and massage, and he maintains a regular yoga practice. It is Craig’s passion for teaching non-traditional businesspeople how to be more successful combined with his deep belief in the power of alternative methods of healing that led to him create Well B-ing and the Aligned Practice Accelerator. He would like nothing more than to help you successfully share your healing gifts with the many people who can benefit from your practice.

Questions You May be Asking

Once you’ve purchased the course you will have complete access to the course materials and participation in the office hours with Craig through the online course platform for 6 months from the date of purchase. In addition, many of the course materials which allow you to apply the learnings in each module to your specific practice are formatted for easy downloading so you can retain those for use in your practice at any time. Access to the course videos and office hours are only available on the online platform.

The course contains 14 separate modules each with instructional video and other content such as questionnaires and worksheets. The time to complete each module can vary depending on the complexity of the material in any given module, your interest and involvement in the particular aspect of a business that is covered in a particular module, and your ability to devote focused time to working through the module. In general, the modules are designed to take about an hour to complete, though some will take less time and some may take longer depending on the above factors. How quickly you get through the course with sufficient understanding to begin implementing the ideas from the course in your practice depends on your schedule and the time you have to devote to it. We believe it is reasonable to expect that most practitioners could complete two modules a week on average, which would mean that the course would be completed in approximately two months. Your experience could be very different from that, but we think that would be a reasonable goal to have in mind. As far as implementing teachings in your practice, we hope that you will hear some ideas and insights in the course that you can begin implementing immediately. Other concepts may take longer to implement, particularly if you already have existing branding, infrastructure, and commitments in place that can only be transitioned over time.

Again, emphatically no! While Craig’s first career was indeed as a lawyer, he hasn’t practiced law in many years as he left the practice to focus entirely on a career as a businessperson. All of the teaching in this course is in the nature of business concepts, perspective and advice, not legal advice. The course does discuss some concepts that have both a business dimension and a legal dimension, but any advice or commentary in the course is strictly from the business point of view. If you need advice relative to any legal issues in your practice or otherwise, you should consult an attorney who is licensed in the state in which you have your wellness practice and who has documented expertise in the area of law that is of concern to you.

On the one hand, the general principles of business, and particularly small business, apply almost regardless of what kind of small business you are running. On the other hand, every business is as unique as the owner of the business. Their vision drives what happens in the business. We wanted to make sure that the course is offered at a price point that it is truly affordable for and accessible to the vast majority of alternative wellness practitioners. Accordingly, the course is generalized enough so that the content can be packaged in pre-recorded modules and therefore offered at what we believe is an incredibly affordable price. Craig has been teaching business to non-business people for many years and in many different contexts, and he draws on all of that experience in teaching this particular course. The foundation of this course, however, is a tool that he developed a number of years ago specifically to help alternative wellness practitioners better understand the business end of their practices. The course videos were all designed and recorded specifically to teach this course to alternative wellness practitioners. Finally, even the basic course includes periodic live group sessions with Craig in the form of “office hours” on Zoom which will allow you the opportunity to ask specific questions about the course material. These aren’t designed to provide the kind of detailed focus on your business that a much more expensive one-on-one consulting arrangement would provide, but they do provide an opportunity beyond the packaged course materials to ask questions specific to you and your practice.

Emphatically no! The course was expressly designed to teach business to non-businesspeople. Throughout his career, Craig has worked with small business owners who wanted to do the thing that they are passionate about, and running a business just came with the territory. They don’t do what they do because they wanted to be businesspeople. Alternative wellness practitioners overwhelmingly fall into this category. This course has been specifically designed to help wellness practitioners with little or no background in business to better understand the business end of their practice.

Yes, you will have 7 days from when you first purchase the course to sign on and check out the course materials to satisfy yourself that the course is what you were expecting (and maybe hopefully more than you were expecting). If within that 7-day window, you decide for any reason that it was a mistake to buy the course, send us an email and we will refund your purchase price in full to the credit card you used to buy the course. Of course, if you ask for a refund, you will also lose access to the course materials from that point forward unless you later change your mind and re-purchase the course. After the 7-day period, we have the right to assume that you are satisfied with your decision to buy the course and the sale will be final at that point.
